★ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Loki is a shapeshifter whose preference for form bounces around between man, woman, or animal. Depends on what he needs to get done. You're likely to see him as a younger blond man, with or without bold tattoos - or a blonde woman. He's eye-catching without being distracting...unless being distracting is the point. ♚ FASHION: Decisive and meaningful, even if it's questionable. Loki is millennia old but his outfits are generally correct - for the decade he's dressing from. You're as likely to see him in tailored 70s era pantsuits as you are to see him in period-appropriate clothing, but it's safe to assume that if he's chosen to wear anything at all, it's spot-on for whatever mood he's trying to achieve. Bold colors, nice shoes, matching belts, questionably-layered bracelets, hoodies on bad days; the god's got it all. ♚ DEMEANOR: Loki has a type of cheerfulness that's closer to a tornado than to sunshine. He is an attack of ideas, and he'll only share about a quarter of those ideas with you directly; he'll be expecting you to puzzle out the rest yourself. Loki is full of extreme expressions, a taut energy that seems like it might snap at any moment, and a certain flavor of impatience that borders on madness. If something isn't happening yet - he'll make sure it does, and soon. ♚ SOUND: What accent do you like best? He might sound like that. Or what accent grates on your nerves? He might sound like that instead. Loki sounds like things in order to tell a story and to guide whoever he's speaking to towards a certain action. Generally speaking, his voice is middle-towards-high toned, a bit quieter than you might expect, and always directed at you like he's sharing a secret. ♚ SCENT: A little bit like embers and charcoal, a little bit like bad decisions something sharper. On a good day, he smells like pine sap. ♚ MENTAL & MAGICAL INFORMATION (LOKI'S SIDE): Loki is a deity from a largely-forgotten religion, whose events have both happened and not yet occurred. (It's complicated, okay.) His powers are numerous but not limitless; even his apparent immortality is not a natural state, but something gained from eating the apples of Idun. Loki is a god of fire and shapeshifting, and his powers are largely those of illusions and transformation. He can alter his own appearance, species, sex and gender; he can alter the appearance of others; and he has a strength and stamina that is far greater than that of a human. ♚ MENTAL & MAGICAL INFORMATION (YOUR CHARACTER'S SIDE): Anyone interested in attempting to read Loki's mind is welcome to; approach him as you would a very powerful telepath. Loki's powers are not in that realm specifically, but his ability to change appearances, hide, and distract means he is a slippery mind to read...but far from impossible. Characters who can typically see through illusions are also welcome to do so; I'd love the chance to play around with the nature of what of Loki is "real" or not (when he changes to a horse or to a woman, is that still him? or is he always seen as his original Jotun form?). ★ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING/TAG SPEED: Yes to backtagging; my speed is very all over the place (anywhere from hours to weeks) so I always appreciate either picking up existing threads/CR in new memes, or just slowly chipping at existing threads. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: Feel free to comment on Loki as an existing deity/fictional deity/Marvel villain/etc; all those works and opinions can exist in Loki's universe, too. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Loki gave humans fire and their 'warmth'; he's not afraid to touch shoulders, elbows, or give hugs. That said, his affection is not a very vulnerable or genuine thing. Loki's excitement for others can seem suspiciously over-done even when there is sincerity underneath it. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Loki is not afraid to be violent, although he tends to instead try to either weasel his way out of direct confrontations, or get someone else to do the dirty work. That said, he's stronger and has more endurance than a regular human (as any respectable ancient god might), even if among the gods, he is not the strongest. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Writer isn't interested in ships. Loki is capable of attraction towards any being, regardless of gender (or species), and it's 100% welcome to start conversations with him about that. GET CODE HERE
